hey everyone. its my first post here, but definitely not my last. but anyway. im going to get a new system in my room. im gonna need a sub. i want a 50 dollar sub. what im lookin at is the alpine type e, mtx 4500, mtx 4000, RF punch 1 and the JBL GT100. which one of these is the loudest, and which do you think has the best reliability. also, does sq mean sound quality? ive just been wondering that. thanks! really what this is about, is whether or not the 4500 and the 4000 have a big difference in spl and sq. im really leaning toward the 4000 cause of the price, but god! the 4500 just looks so beautiful!

its all in teh install man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifalso sq does sound for sound quality
yeah i know that. its in my room though, so im just wonderin which will be the loudest to piss off my sister. can anyone tell me that? or which one is the best value. finally, is there a sub that is better than those in that price range? Alright, i've been pricing and the Alpine looks like my choice. What can I expect from this sub? is it loud? It looks real nice, and the mtx 4000 is paper, so it would dry rot, this has a kevlar reinforced cone, the surround is rubber and it would piss off my sister who will have plaster fallin on her head while in the shower.

dont matter if its in a room, still all in teh install.

sorry i dont know to much bout those subs so i cant help u out on that.

yea almost forgot welcome to the forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Phoenix Gold's and Pioneer's subs are cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The TS-W305Cs are great for the price, but I haven't heard the Tantrum-X 10" (Should be good, probably better than the Pioneers).

Also, go with a 12 ... Almost as cheap as a 10, but louder ...
nah I can't go with a 12. first, i don't have the room. the box is a thin one. It will fit where I need it to. a 12 would be too loud anyway.

alright. im using a premade box. heres a link.

im running a rca integrated amp, with a 600 watt pyle dj amp. heres the pyle link.

do you all think that it will work? i have a terrible 6.5 in wal-mart woofer set up with out the pyle, and it sounds alright. it doesn't move any air, but i guess it gets the job dones as a midbass driver. well i meant i dont have the pyle yet. im gonna order it with the sub (probably alpine type e). will that amp work?

My advice would be to stay as far away from Pyle as possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
alright. i think i can just run 300 watts rms to the type e. i just wanted a bit more kick. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif

oh lol. i haven't bought anything yet. those are just what i am looking at. i just wanted to know is these are good combos. so do you think that the pioneer sub there is louder than the type e? i went to ovation today and heard a type e 10 inch. ****, this thing can hit. so whaddaya think? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

where can I get a real cheap sealed box? the one at ovation was in a sealed box, and it sounded good. you know what else was great? the 15'' W0. that is one nice ass subwoofer.
