I have a question about the decible output on subs. How can you tell when the sub is at a high enough db level to damage your hearing? Well, an obvious sign would be if its painful, but is it just me or does bass at high levels still seem somewhat comfortable. (I dunno if that made any sense)

Is there a cheap db level reader out there?

Different people have different ears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif IF you turn your stereo off and your ears are ringing. It's a good sign that your listening to loud. As far as cheap meters I havn't found any that are reliable yet, but I'm still looking.

You can buy an AudioControl Epic-150 for $300 retail. It is an in-dash Epicenter with a SPL and Voltage display. It's also only half a din size.
