pushing a cruddy amp with higher olms

[97acuratl 10+ year member]

just wondering how bad it would be if I pushed this pioneer amp that says that it is 4 olm stable bridged(is 2 olm stable not bridged) to being 3 olm or 2 olm.

would either work or would 2 be pushing it too far but 3 should be fine or does anyone have any experience doing this?

You would be taking a chance. Some amps can handle it but most cannot. If you are lucky it will go into protection mode and shut itself down before it is damaged. If you are unlucky, you will break the seal on the magic smoke container and the amp will lose its one-time supply of magic smoke. Once you let it out you can't put it back.

BTW, it's ohm.
