punch 100a2

The other week imy friend gave me a rockford punch 100a2 amp. Ithen hooked it up to my subs, it did power the subs but they made a static kinda scratchy sound.

Does anyone know whats wrong with this amp..

yes, i had another amp hooked up to the same subs and it sounded fine then i put the the 100a2 and it made that noise.

Im stumped!!!

That kind of sound is usually caused by a loose connection of some type as denim said.
