PSP good idea?

don't get a psp.

i have one i rarely use. if you need a portable gaming system, i suggest something nintendo. if you want it because you are considering it for umd movies, forget it. if you want something for home, i suggest xbox 360. if you have everything i recommended over the psp, get yourself some games for the other gaming systems.

I was in the same boat. Bought a PSP, bought Liberty City Stories, played it like mad for a week till I beat it, put it away and didnt touch it.

That is until I discovered all the cool emulators you can run on it.

I play mine almost everyday now. Replaying all my favorite SNES/NES games like Chrono Trigger, FF3, Shadowrun, Shadowgate, Secert of Mana, etc.

Emulators are available for the following: TG16, SEGA, SEGACD, NES, SNES, NEOGEO,GB, GBA, plus many more.

It's also cool surfin the net using the Wireless access point we have at work. I've also been able to download quite a few EBooks in HTML format, and read them from the web browser. With a 1GB memory stick, u can also store about a dozen full length albums, and hundreds of photos. The price recently dropped to about $200 as well.

I will say that as far as games go, the DS does currently have a better library.
