proper speaker install

i currently have a 1994 toyota camry v6 le

have a pair of polk/momo mmc650 in the stock location.

my question is how do i do a proper install...

i used bracket adapters from crutchfield to installed the speakers in the stock baffle. They fit and all but i am wondering if there is a better way to install speakers then what most people recommend, and that is just toss them in there and bolt them tight.

any links to sites with picture appreciated or anyone with this car and experience in doing a proper install...

i'm awaiting shipment of a tsunami amp dbb400 (i think that's the model) and my alpine 9833.

Wait.... Your saying you installed them, but want to know how to install them better? How the **** does that make sense? If you think it needs to be better, than make it better. I don't see how anyone can answer this question, especially without pictures of your install.

I had a somewhat of a decent/crappy install on my door comps and when I dynamated my trunk I redid the door install. I may have went alittle extreme but I like it and it sounds much better.

I Dynamated the inner part of my door, ever place I could reach, and then I dynamated all around where the whole cutout was for the midrange. I then cut a plate to mount the midrange on out of some spare MDF, not all doors will allow for this much room but mine panel fit back on with a nice tight fit. then I put some speaker baffles in and placed the mdf plate on top of those and mounted my midrange on the mdf. I now have a solid fit for my midrange and some protection for it with the baffle. also all the added dynamat and mdf plate made a world of difference in the sound quality of the midrange.

hope this helps.

is it better to upgrade an average car to a better and more quiter one or to spend sa ton trying to dynamat the existing one. cuz my idea i that better cars are "dynamated" better at the factory and cheaper one (civics) are more noisier

I don't believe that to be a good statemant. No cars are "dynamated" from the factory. Some may be built better/tighter to reduce rattling. But a car will build rattle with age. I would dynamat any car I bought.

yeah i feel as if my current install is not top notch but i don't know how to make it better, that's why i was looking for some input...

i am waiting for my amp...

the door rattles on songs with rolling bass...when its just running off HU, the volume isn't even cranked up...so that leads me to believe my isntall isn't top notch

Yeah, well then deaden your doors, or your whole car for that matter, but in most cases there isn't much more to installing speakers short of building new mounts for them. After you deaden and amp your car/speakers the difference will be astounding.

What are you smokin? I own a 1989 lincoln towncar, and it is somewhat "dynamatted", it has noise supression type pads under the carpet all over the car. It is over 15 years old and doesn't make one peep ever. Solid built car!
