Price for a Resonant Engineering HC 12?

I can't find on on the forum. They have the all but the HC on the price list. Anyone know what a HC 12 costs? Also, why didn't people put the HC on the list in the forum? Is it the same thing as the SX or what? Also, the RE website doesn't list the SX. I know they don't update it much, but I still wonder why they don't list it.

The HC has been pulled out of production. The SX is supposedly the successor, but some say it's still quite a different subwoofer altogether.

The going price of a 12" HC on the boards seem to be floating at about $200+shipping.

I plan to run either a RE 12 (model unknown) of another EDk(a or o) in my car. The right price and I might bite.

Only plan on powering the single 12 (2ohm) with 200-300 watts (from a 5 channel)

With that much power I wouldn't go with the HC. I have about that much power going to my HC because my sub amp is broken. Don't get me wrong it sounds great and gets pretty loud, but with 1000ish watts it got soo soo soo much louder. I would go with something like a RE RE or a RE SE. I am not farmiliar with the ED woofers but I'm sure they have a woofer that would work great with that much power as well.

Someone on here will be able to direct you to a nice ED woofer for that power.

is it safe to assume they will have this in a 12 inch? I am thinking a 15 inch is going to take a little too much space. a 12 inch does seem to be ok for me.....not sure what a 15 inch will gain.

I just noticed on the eD site that they have a speaker/amp combo. Is it worth the idea to get a seperate amp and use 2 amps instead of the 5 channel? hmmmm???

Now...this brings up the final issue.....do I go with a dual 4 ohm or a dual 2 ohm speaker?

I am not sure if the rubicon555 or hifonicszx8000 can handle the 1ohm load...

last thing....anyone know if we will be able to get the new ED speakers without a logo stamped on the cone? i sure will miss the flat cone design!
