PPI vs. Hifonics

Just wanted some opinions. I have a pcx-440, and a pc-225 and was thinking of replacing them with a hifonics zx6400, and a bx500d. The latter of the two have claim more power, but I have never personally dealt with hifonics amps. I don't want crazy power, just a little more than I have. It's for 2 sets of alpine 6.5 spr-176a's and a type-r 2ohm dvc 10. I was also thinking about changing out the 10, but who knows.

I am a huge Hifonics fan have been using them for a long time and I'm tottally happy...

But, I would say Both are great Amps...

I'm way more familiar with the older PPI amps, then the last year or two...

I would say, If the PPI amps work fine currently, I would not upgrade, however, if they are getting old and having problems or you just want more power, then I'd think about upgrading to the Hifonics...

you probably won't see a difference in output between the 225, and the 500. PPI's are underrated amps. i don't know the specs on the z6400, but i'm a big ppi fan, and would stay w/ the pcx.
