PPI amp question

I need help adjusting my amp .its is a ppi 2360 ( can do 360 w X 1 at 4 ohms bridged) and i got it hoked up to a 12 inch mtx 8000 sub.................. i had the amp previous hooked up to 2 12 inch jl Wo's and it pushed them realy good at 180w X 2 at 2 ohms. but now im wnating to hok it up to this mtx and i dont think it is pushing it enough .and i have it bridged but i still dont think it is pushing it enough ............ sounds bout like the jls but the setting are hte same also so that might be the rreason, cause i figered the mtx would sound louder and better casue its top of the line mtx were the wo is the bottom line jl.... so can someone pleease tell me how to adjusteing so the ppi would be doing its fullest power .to the mtx. ........thanks

as long as the gain is set to the proper level, you are probably pushing the mtx to its fullest. just remember that you have cut the cone surface area in half. that means less air is being moved and therefore less sound is being created. some ways to make up for the lack of cone area would be a truely monster amp/sub combo, or to build/buy a different box to complement the mtx sub you now have.

Well, what is the impedence on the woofer? You might have an 8 ohm woffer and the amp isn't getting full power

it is a 4 ohm sub ......... and i got it Brigded at 4 ohm doing 360 x1 ....... i have adjusted the amp sume ........it is sounding loud and good....... it thumps just as hard or Harder than both of the those JL wo's combined
