you can try it..but i would stay with what you knew was good...they say its max power is 2000 watts then say its rms so i really dont know what to tell you. power accoustic has been around long enough that if they produced such an amp at that price i am sure they woulda been in a few mags......but if it is rated at peak then the jbl is slightly more powerful and i would also say its more durable than the p.a. just judging from past amps i have seen from them
the only thing I have to say is look at the price of that power amp (not the suggested retail) and say a crossfire 1000D big difference. I'm not saying that your cooler if you get the most expensive one I'm just sayin you get what you pay for. Don't mean to knock it but stick with the names that prove themselves time and time again and you won't be dissapointed and probably save money in the long run.
