Possible replacement remote for the Sony RM-X110?

Looking for some advice and hope I may be able to help out others. I'm currently trying to hunt down a replacement for the SONY RM-X110 remote used for the following sony headunits:

CDXM62, CDXM620, CDXM620X, CDXM730, CDXM77, CDXM770, CDXM800, WX7700MDX.

I was looking around and it MIGHT be possible that an RM-X112 or the RM-X117 could be viable replacements.

Does anyone have any advice/experience using a non-stock remote? Will these other remotes work as they are the same sort of family/similar designs?
