How much did you spend on your first system?

Not even 500 if I recall.

First system was A Sony EXCD-21 HU, Sony 5.25's, Infinity Reference 6x9's, A Thump 300 watt 2 channel amp and a 10" Kraco DVC Woofer.

Funny thing is- the woofer actually performed quite well, In fact - I still own and use it in my home theater in an isobaric enclosure.- really cranks out some rumble!!! he he he ! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had an Alpine Tape deck ($190), Jensen Grip subs in a bandpass box($130), a HiFonics 100X2 amp ($150), and 4 Infinity reference coaxial speakers ($150). I didn't know a da mn thing about system set up so I had the gains up all the way. It wasn't until a year later when I got rid of my Jensens that I realized why I blew them out every month (thank goodness for extended warranties).

my first system was a pioneer deck ($150), a pair of Kicker IX650 coaxes(150), a pair of RF 10" HE2's (200), and a "hot" mtx amp ($10). I didnt know about the amp until after I got it, I just thought I was getting a really good deal. It didnt sound too bad though. Acually, I think I had the loudest system at school until someone got some new stuff with a bigger amp. you know what, come to think of it, I lied on the deck, amp and subs. my deck was a $10 alpine tape deck, my amp was a $130 Jensen 500w and my subs were a pair of Technics 12" in custom bass tubes(5 gallon buckets) and that all was free.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont have my system done yet but by the time im done it shoudl have over 2 grand into it. i figured im goin to do things right the first time so i dotn end up wastin my money. i dont want to buy cheap **** the first time and not be happy and have to sell it to upgrade. by the time im dont ill be runnin 4 punch hx2s 2 jbl 1200.1 a kenwood hu all infinity speakers. a dvd player of some sort and a lcd screen. all this **** is goin to add up to over 2 grrand

my first system (that i had to pay for) was all factory hu and speakers with two older punch twelves in a homebuilt sealed box( got the size from my in-laws two 15 mtx roadthunder2 full range box) with a targa mosfet amp. i paid a total of $50 for it.

my very first system ( my mommy bought it) was a blaupunkt cass . yamaha amps, kicker coax's and 2- 10's 2- 12's kicker comps. all in a 86 chevy fullsize with a half camper. the 10's and 12's were in a custom box under the shell. if i remeber right it set my mom back about $1200 install and all. that was in 1988.

i don't have half that stuff now and have almost as much money in my current set-up. i'll have more when my focals and eclipse go in!!

10. phoenix gold 15 farad capacitor

11. dynamat in license plate, doors, trunk, and firewall, headliner

12. all twisted pair wires and "garden hose" for amps to battery

all coming to about 6000
