Here is my situation. I had two 12's hook up to an 800 watt amp. It worked fine. I went out and bought a new amp that was 1200 watts. I disconnected all of the wires from the smaller amp and hooked up the larger amp wire for wire. I did not disconnect the 12v fuse box before disconnecting the amp. I blew the fuze. I replaced the fuse and finished the job. Well, I didn't get any results. I returned the amp and hooked the small amp back up.
The thing is I'm not getting any power to the amp what so ever. The other day my sub started hitting all of a sudden and then cut off. I didn't turn the deck up to loud or anything. The sub cut on for a few minutes and then cut off.
I thought maybe it was the remote wire......I ran a new one and I got nothing.
The fuse to the 12v power supply isn't blown. My RCAs and REM wires are ran on the opposite side of the 12v wire and ground. The fuses on the amp are fine and I took the base plate off and there is no sign of chared components or strange smell.
What should I do? Is there another way to hook up the remote wire? How can I test my amp to be sure it is still good? How can I get my system back online?
