Pistol help

I thought it was a 1996 gun, not a 1896. Hell, Iam not even gonna think about shooting this thing! I might look into sellin it tho, iam not in a desperate need to be strapped. I would be happy wit $200.

The finish of the gun is a Blue finish, the grips look to be pearl, however there is no owl head on it. It may not be pearl, but looks like it except more brown, might just be from age.

THanks for your help.

Aight you may not like this but it doesnt seem to be worth much as an antique. $175- $200. But it may be a decent gun. If your serious about carrying this around as your conceled you may want to look into something else pistols of this era are built like tanks and weigh a ton. You may want to take the pistol to a cabelas or something they can run a check on the serial #. Who knows it may be a custom job or a famous gun which would make it worth a whole lot more.Heres where I found some for sale

Good luck!
I would suggest anything using black powder ammunition wouldn't be a very efficient use of a firearm for a concealed-carry weapon anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I go to gun shows frequently. There is always one going on somewhere. Take it to a gun show and let all them gun gurrus take a look at it. You will be suprised what they might offer you. There may be one or two dudes in there that collect that certain brand and caliber and offer you more than you expect. That happen to me with the 9mm I carry. I brought it to a show here in Houston and I learned everything about my gun the first 30 minutes of being there. It's a 9mm that the military officers in Spain used. Some crap like that. But anyhow they offered me $250.00 more than what I paid for it. I denied. It fits me perfect. But you never know. Good luck.

I have lived here for a while, and can safely say that for a town that is big on hunting, I have never seen a gun show around here. Maybe cuz I haven't paid attention, but I dunno. I will look to see if there will be any upcoming gunshows around here tho.

I have an uncle that knows alot about guns, he collects all kinds of guns, I will see what he knows about it, and see if he offers me anything for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks, everyone.

Wow, just a cheap gun that was only like 15 years old.

if you are looking for one to shoot, get a new one, or even one to carry, get a new one.

Werd, I thought this one was fairly new, but boy was I wrong.

I still can't believe it, the gun is in really good shape other than the few mechanical sticks. The finish is better than some of my newer guns //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I will prolly get somethin a little more modern, like a 9

get a .40 cal, .45, or a .44 mag revolver. if you want something not as serious as those, go with like a .38 revolver. simple and wont be too much to handle.

found out quite a bit from some other forums about my gun. Seems that it may not be a 2nd generation after all. Someone suggested it may be the US Revolver model, which was made from scrap 2 generation models, but made after the 3rd generation.

Someone else told me that my gun has been reblued, which might explain the new look of it. I know that it has not been reblued in the past 15 years or so cuz I know where it has been for 15 years, and I have had it for 5 or 6 of those years.

They also said that the grips were buffalo horn rather than aged pearl.

I have no idea what all of it means, but I will be happy if I can get enough cash out of it so that I can buy a new pistol for me to play wit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I am leaning towards getting a .22 rim fire pistol, since the shells are so inexpensive compared to .38's and .45's

If anyone has a .22 rim fire or a .25 and wants to trade for this pistol, hit me up wit a PM or if you would like to buy it or something hit me up wit an offer
