Pioneer AVIC-N1

My friend just got his... he got a real good hook up. He loves it to death... still trying to figure it out but he likes it alot. He liks the navigation on it. He paid like 1500 for it, but he's got hook ups and its not online lol

i paid $1399.00 on ebay, paid 175 to have it installed, i like it, but it's not as good as i expected it to be, it could use a few more customization options, like sounds, colors, pictures, voices, navigation features, etc.

i think they could have made it a little easier to add addresses, and given you more options for saving them like a space for notes or maybe multiple addresses for one name , so you could have a friends house, work, or whatever, and multiple phone numbers for one listing would have been cool, i also hate that you cant add symbols in names like &, $, #, @, and whenever changing a name for a location you look up, you have to backspace the whole thing, why no clear all button?? i dont know, they didnt think it through too much as far as these things if you ask me, seems like alot of work to do anything

I can definately agree with you there, Although thats how they made it more affordable. The little things that matter to people like voice command,remotes,etc..all need to be bought seperately to cut down costs on the initial unit.

For the original poster..I have sold/installed quite a few of them. For the most part bang for buck its a good unit. But like posted above it is lacking a bit. For the majority of my customers that have the ability they opt for the Eclipse AVN2454.
