10" RE SExxx with kicker kx600.1 and alpine cda-9813 head unit. the amp casing had to be taken off the amp because it wouldn't fit, but oh well. box is 1.7 cu. ft. tuned to 34 Hz

everything sounds great so far, i'm still playing with the crossover/equalizer settings and the gains, but i'm pretty impressed for this only being a single 10" sub. i haven't even pushed it that hard, i'm just breaking it in a little for now.

honestly, the only reason i don't want to lower the car and put rims on it is because i'll void my warranty if i change the suspension on the car, and i just paid $1000 for that warranty 2 months ago. but if i decide to sometime, it'll be getting dropped a couple inches and have some 17" helo diamond rims put on. window tint is coming tomorrow. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Tommyk1990 has an SeXXX 10" and the surround looks nowhere near the size of that one. Anyway, hope you really enjoy it. Are you planning on competing?

I think the SeXXX is geared more toward SPL, correct me if I'm wrong.

a mustang GT would cost me double the insurance money ($4800 compared to 2400, which is still high) since i'm only 18, and even GT's only come with 16" wheels. i don't really like the stock "rims" that come with the GT's either.

no plans to compete really, it's mostly for my personal enjoyment. i work pretty much 7 days a week anyway, so finding time off is tough.

a SExxx can handle more power (up to 1000-1100w RMS) compared to the SE, which handles 600-700w RMS. it also won't get as hot since it can handle more power. i'm running ~700w RMS to it, and i'm pretty sure if it was an SE it would get a lot hotter. well worth the extra $20 in my opinion.
