what does inverting subs do exactly? besides have a different look about the setup?

No real audibal(spelling?) difference, even tho i think they sound a little more punchy. I just did it because it looked different.

they make the box volume larger sense the magnet is no longer inside to take up space

With screws, there black and the rubber gasket is pretty thick so it kinda covers them up.

I know what ya mean, you can't see any of my screws either. It looks better imo
