nah........ too much work - rather just buy 1 set.....

i want 6.5s in the front but i'm not sure if they'll fit..

will a 6.5 midbass woofer w/a special plate built fit into a 5x7 slot?

i know a 5.25 will but wasn't sure about a 6.5

I voted for MB Quarts. I have some comps from them and I love them. Im definitely an MB Quart fan.

i got some metal plates i'm gonna test to see if they fit in the frame / them mbquarts premium series components 6.5 i shall have installed in my doors by me....... and moved my kappa components 5.7's to the rear deck..

silk tweeter in the back for those that have the components right next to their head *rear deck elevated so speaker is close to ear

aluminum tweeter in front to balance the massive amount of bass my w7 produces & balance the elevated power source from the components that will be installed in the back

should be a great balance, and of course the 6.5 midbass in the front along w/the amount coming from the comp's in the back - this should be an ideal setup.

we shall see, measurements this weekend - purchase on sunday - installed week of the 25th.

would you like to know why i choose mb quarts over the rest of the market??

dont like any personally....but the OZ's are the best "natural" sounding- warmest sounding tweet of the ones listed- and they've gotten great reviews by car mags

i eneded up ordering the ID 6.5's 2ohms.......

150 rms from my tantrum @ 2ohms goin to each speaker, then 85 still goin to back..

having comps in the back w/85rms goin to them then the LARGER comps in the front w/ 150 watts goin to them...... balance shouldnt' be a problem.

i will, i'll do a review of both of them - i still haven't done one of the kappas...

only bad thing is - id's 2ohms are on backorder and have been since the end of may

I highly doubt you pushed them that hard ... there had to have been a flaw somewhere.
