I always hear about how great RE is and about how the PG TI is the best sub for the money!

I got two RE SE10's and im 100% satisfied with it.... i have a friend who is about to get a system and ofcourse he heard mine and was amazed by what these puppys can do but he is very skeptical about RE because he has never heard of them. So anyways he is leaning toward the TI's just because its a company that he knows, but he would like to know what the difference between these two subs will be!

Which will have better SQL? how about SPL? and SQ? I dont know much about car audio so the only thing i can tell him is that my system rocks but other than that, i have no idea which sub is better. He wants two 10's or 12's!

Ill make this a poll as well, but please give us your imput on which is better... and try to brake it down as to which is better for an SQ setup, SQL, and SPL!

I've had both. The SE's gets real loud, but the sound quality is decent, it hits the bass notes a little sloppy as a matter of fact. The TI's does not get quite as loud, but the sound quality is good. The bass is more smooth and the bass hits deep. I honestly would get the TI's because of the price =).

Keep in mind I was using the first generation models of the SE.

Thats it? i know there are more of you out there who have had experience with these two subs. There seems to be a split in the voting... 15 votes are in and the TI is ahead by one which surpises me a lot since this seems to be a website thats in love with RE. That says a lot about the TI's!

Jmac... its easy to find the TI10/12 on ebay... very cheap too, only about $130 or so for a pair.

C'mon fellas... give us some more imput!

The question is which sub was a better performance for the dollar. The Ti series has been on closeout for a while now. That's why they're so cheap. It's kinda like when we sold the HC's for less and the SE. They were the best performance for the dollar value on the market at the time.

If you want to spend $130 on 2 subs... you're not going to get SE's for that. The PG's would be a great choice for the price.

If you want to spend a little more for more performance... the SE would be the way to go.

Dang guys... dont leave me hanging like this! i know that the RE's get louder but is that all thats better about the RE's? cause if thats it then id say the TI's would be the better buy cause your not gonna listen to the music at peak volume anways, so that extra power will be there for nothing!

Superman72 grow up!

If you can find the Ti10 for 130 apair then how much is the re se'?

Mine were a little over $160 each including s&h! On the other hand a pair of TI10s would be about $170 with shipping and everything off ebay.

Man this thread is purty sour, i figured id get more imput consideing these are two very popular subs... got a bunch of votes, buts its all even so thats not helping much.

not sure how much he wants to spend, but let's go ahead and throw a single 10" koda into the equation.....then you can tell everyone how it really sounds. =)
