Well, it's completed meaning I have made all decisions and have made all purchases. The install will be done by Friday! I know I drove you guys nuts with all the questions and opinions about which sub, amp, can the AllpineM350 go with the JL, blaa blaa. I actually bought all the frontstage, rear fill, head unit, front four amp, even the dynoxorb and wiring, before I bought the backstage amp and sub!
This is not by any means a competetion level system or even the loudest or any of that. But I worked hard to earn this money and dedicated many hours of online research and learned a ton from all you guys on these boards and I'm just glad that it's almost over. I spent like 6 hours anight this week with the back and forth till I always found the right fit for what my ear wants. SQ, SQ, SQ. Yeah sure some bass too... I'm still young, but this is what's going in....

I supposedly have some of the best installers in NYC doing the work (at $65 a hour... better be) and should be impressed with their work. Have heard 2 guys online rave about their work.
The greatest part of this install to me is all this equipment and installations are done by an Eclipse, Zapco AND Focal Authorized dealer. Every single component is covered 3years parts and labor throught the store and the manufacturer!!!
The JL sub and amp was installed by the same guys that installed everything else, but the JL sub and amp was bought from an authorized dealer as well and is fully warrantied through the store and manufacturer too.
This is all going into my 2003 Ford Explorer. I know I talked about the kick panels like some of you remember, but I couldnt get them right know. The good thing is that my front doors as weel as rear doors, the speaker locations are very forward and up towards the front of the car. This would be awesome in the staging area as opposed to the speakers being in the traditional low and back location. My installer said not to worry because I got lucky with the new relocated speaker locations of the new 2003+ Explorer models inthat theyre in much better staging areas. If later on I feel the need, I'll make kick panels to finalize the staging.
I'm filling the sub box a bit with polyfill to trick the sub into thinking it's the rated 1.25 size as opposed to the actual 1.0 that it is. Actually, online for JL it says anywhere from 0.90 to 1.5 for a sealed enclosure with the JL 12W6V2. The lesser the #, the more accurate and less bassy the sound. The more the cubic feet up to 1.5, the more less accurate and bassy it gets. I put a little polyfill to try and bring it to the 1.25 configuration.
There is also Dynaxorb for the components immediate coverage area , and Dynamat for the 4 doors. My Explorer seems to have great effects in staging and very little rattling being 8 months old, but we'll see on Friday.
THANX A LOT TO ALL OF YOU CAUSE YOU GUYS REALLY HELPED OUT A LOT WITH THE WISDOM YOU SPREAD OUT. I ACTUALLY MADE A LOT OF DECISIONS BASED ON YOUR OUTPUT AND CRITIQING. I am no where near as educated and experienced as are most of you, but I'm going to give feedback if I can help.
For this entire job.... all parts and labor and installation costs including wiring, etc., and lets not forget 3 year warranties on everything through maufacturer and STORE, with supposed A! installations as proven to me several times, this job cost $3,500 solid. But that's every last cent from top to bottom. It may be high, but I have high end equipment with high end installation in NYC (not cheap) , and 3year fully warrantied parts and labor.
