Clif was doing low 150's with a 12" MT and 2 20.1 amps. This was at 34-36hz too in a reg cab Chevy.

What sparked it:

Dude, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

 

First, otacrunk is more than likely in the 140's, if I threw my CVR 8 in my van I could probably hit mid-130's, but it's install and vehicle dependant, it's really hard to guess over your keyboard.

 

Second, as I said earlier 150 is a VERY outrageous claim, and is pretty much impossible. I modeled up 8 18's in winISD, and I was only averaging about 135 with 5000 watts on them. Rooms and cars are very different acoustically.

Sensitivity really doesn't mean a whole lot, and is NOT credible for SPL readings, especially considering it's almost impossible to judge an SPL reading without knowing many factors. But, you seem to like to jump to conclusions and call me a cocksucker. I could sit here and argue with you all night but I honestly don't think you are worth the time. And Tommy is a legend in SPL."

Im no SPL mic expert, but I think that would still be over 160 on the new TL. Any of you SPL guys know approx what Munsun's score would have been had it been on the new TL?

Typically a 6-7 dB difference can be seen between the older Term Pro mic and the Term Lab. A 6 dB difference can also be seen between an Audio Control AC 190 and a TL.

So his score could be in the 163 dB range.
