Passive crossover question?

I know nothing about this, so any help would be good.

I have a set of 2ohm HLCD's and the ID CSX? or whatever crossovers if it matters.

I want to know if I have a 2ohm mid in order to create the 2ohm load, I dont know Im confused if the crossover creates the resistance or what. Basically do I have to run the 2ohm mid or whats going to happen otherwise. I want to run the HU to the crossover and the mid and horn off it.
