Panasonic vs. Pioneer

Hehe, ya I don't know what I was thinking.... I do have the 802, for some reason I thought that was the unit in question even though I typed 602 a number of times... hehe, still Panasonic makes great HU IMHO.

well rngilman, as you can see there is no clear seperation of which deck is better. I would go with Pioneer...why? Because if you look at the overall performance of Panasonic products and the overall performance of Pioneer products, the Panasonics are known for being a cheaper quality brand. Their HU's have seem to taken off into the direction of being great decks, but pioneer has always been quality, and still is quality. I can see a Panasonic deck having problems 3 years from now, but I would be surprised if a Pioneer deck would ever have a problem 3 years from now. Although all manufacturs have their glitches, I will continue to rely on Pioneer over Panasonic. What does all this mean to you? Just buy one of the two and form your own opinion. I doubt you would be disapointed with either.

I can vouch for Pioneeer products(head units) being long lasting equipment. I've had my Pioneer Head unit for 3 years. It's been in two different cars. I use it daily and haven't had any problems with the deck yet.

My next deck will most likely be Pioneer or Alpine.

hey natem33,

you are absolutely right...pioneer decks are really great....you are speaking facts and i couldnt put it better myself...i had a pioneer cassette deck for 5 years now and it didnt have a single problem...i only traded it in a month ago to upgrade to a CD deck...and of course this deck puts a smile on my face...pioneer decks/ electronics beats out panasonic products anyday-anytime

i will always buy pioneer head units...i have alot of confidence in them

hey thats the panasonic im trying to get but its out of stock or somethings is up everyone else wants 329 for them and they want 239 , just dont have any, but i mgiht have to settle for the 601u or alpine cda-7892 i got the money just not willing to spend that much especially online and fear of agood warranty , and trust worthy site
