I've seen them cut in half so many times and you are better off with a name brand store AGM or an Odyssey or XS Power. At this point you are paying for a name nothing more.
When Optima first came out in the '90s they were a good battery. Since they got sold off a couple times eh nothing special about them anymore.
I know one person who disagrees on them being junk here but after seeing them cut in half and being promoted by their sales reps when I used to manage auto parts stores, I saw the same or worse components in the cheap AGM's we or other store sold only Optima wanted 300-400 bucks for them vs the 150 bucks for the store brand.
There is only 4-5 battery companies worldwide. You might be surprised at who makes what these days.
Johnson controls makes Optima batteries now. They also make most of the auto parts store and chain store brands. You will be just as well off getting something like a Duralast platinum agm from Autozone ( also made by Johnson controls ).
