So I got a used tahoe years ago that has an old (now) fosgate 500x 4ch amp on the high end. One of the rear door speakers has been blown for sometime now so i eventually said ok lets get some new ones. So I did and I hooked them up and immediately the new speaker blew and went up in smoke.

So i pulled out the multimeter and started checking terminals. The first 3 channels all read around the same in the 3 mV range. Then i got to the 4th one and it read a whopping 29!

I hooked the amp up to my buddies vehicle and everything read fine. I tried switching the rcas around but the same terminal got that high reading. I have no clue where else too look. Anybody know what could be causing this? Thanks

Slapz are sfb clones from my understanding. What I was pointing out is how much info slapz gives about their amps 😂
