If I can use it and win, why pay more for the same end result? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
Do over a 160 on the dash and see what happens to particle board.

Hint: If particle board would come up with the same result as 7 ply birch...wouldn't we be using it in the blazer?...and wouldnt scottie be using it in the vans? Considering we can get 9 sheets of particle board for what 1 sheet of the birch costs....

Sorry...i dont lead the blind, deaf, and dumb into a pit of bullshit.

Theres a reason no high end audio company companies use particle board. Its shit. Who cares about some silly number, it'll probally fall apart in a week and sound like ***.

Right...... that makes a lot of sense you know it will fall apart in a week its not like it has a 5 year warranty or anthing...........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

No matter what you listen to, it will sound as good as possible.

We know what works in every vehicle type and design accordingly. Things such as corner angles, fiberglass resin, box shape/size, woofer/port firing direction... will all vary from application to application. The TCAB difference is knowing *when* to use the right combination to extract the most performance.
bs

application has to be considered....

7 ply birch on my street box would just be a waste of money;)

Its not like anyone gives a shit about box warrentys. BTW have any luck finding a high end company that uses particle board?

this is what termpro has to say:

"Fiberboard is the best material to use for the walls of your enclosure, since its high density minimizes panel vibrations and results in a more efficient enclosure. Don't confuse fiberboard with particle board. Although particle board is similar in appearance to fiberboard, its tensile properties make it unfit for the car environment: Extreme temperature variations and humidity can cause particle board to chip, split, or warp. "

how many cubes is the box?

and whats it tuned to?

just wondering..

I wanna do some experiments when i get some money and its warm outside. lol

I can only get the 12s but they will have to do:(

my friend just got a TL so i can have actuall numbers with the tests. just need ur help with a few things, just in case theres someweird way the R's like to be done and or the box likes to be constructed.. lol

1. will be between the Type R's, MTX's 7500, Kicker's Comp and L7, Sony's cheap little shitty sub, Audiobahn's flame Q's, and Kenwood's tornado?? lol whatever there called these days.

2. will be between the particle board n MDF. the tests will be done with and without resin.

amps used will be Orion 1200D and/or Orion 2500D

the boxes will be tuned to aroun 40/42 hz and peek at 48hz. another daily box will be tuned to 32/35 hz. i see everywhere i read that they like low notes.. but what if ur car/truck likes high notes? we will see what happens.

Bleh, what would Wayne Harris know, he's totally not as loud as the Type R.

Hint: if the SX was louder than the type R, I wouldn't have used the type R at finals.

Hint: if MDF was louder than pboard, I would have used MDF at finals... and MDF would be every TCAB box.

Hint: Your application is completely different than mine

I can't walk out and do a 160 - so why don't you inform us on what happens when you use the same type p-board as me? I am assuming you are taking thickness out of the picture... and the wood is covered in resin, or something comparable.

You can't say shyte about REAL RESULTS.... If you feel the guy here will get such a big fat gain using 7 ply birch, send me the $ for the wood and I'll make the box.
