Oh I'm doing a good job of it...otherwise you wouldn't have replied. So the kid wanted an ugly box....fine. His money his car his set up. No concern on my point. But I think you missed my point to what I was saying....by a long shot. As someone else pointed out, why aren't any other companies BUT YOU and TCAB producing these so called special enclosures to market them?? Is it because your pending them?? Not only that, your advertising them on here....or was. Point I was making is your dragging this too far...and needs to stop. I could careless if the guy with 1 10 beat my 2 15's. Not only does mine sound good....it looks good too. Not everybody uses the ugly plywood, or birch, for enclosure material....its not easy to work with...splinters easily too. You say the boxes are basic yet you refuse to reveal the secrets behind them....wonder why that is.

Why am I the only one making a box like this? What the hell kind of question is that? Why does anyone make anything unique?

I didn't make this thread a soon to be 15 pages myself. Most of the posts are just bashing the WOOD I use.... lmfao... cmon now.

Why do I need to tell you anything? Am I obligated to give out the "secrets" behind my design? Do you honestly think my years of work to get to this point was solely so you could take my designs and use them yourself? If you want to know what makes a TCAB box tick, buy one.

read the post. the box is basic!! i didnt say the development of the "perfect" designed box for that sub is basic. you said it yourself, its essentially a sealed box. therefore its basic.
$300 is what i was told. if it was $150, than thats actually pretty good and something id consider. i just went off what some1 else told me.

Is the design and execution of this box simple... NO WAY! The shape, the length, the way everything is firing... its not just a "guess", I know *why* it works, and its easy to replicate if you know what ratios to use. I design from a complex series of rules of thumb that I have concocted over the years. Very few people know how to work a trunk like me, because I've put the time and effort into it. Do the subs have to be flush mounted now? lol...

The carpet is crooked, is that possible? Its seamed like that for a reason.

I always allow for a little space between the ports when possible.. it wasnt possible vertically, but it was possible horizontally. The extra space helps ensure the internal flares can't possibly whack eachother.

well for the most part you can trust when some1 tells you that another person told them something. but obviously theres gonna be problems sometimes. either way the price thing is over now.

i dont feel like looking up where you said that, but im almost positive it was you. but im so tired now that id rather admit fault than even try to prove myself right. the fact that your denying saying prolly means i fvcked up.

Yea, that's exactly my intention....to use your design, as you call it, and use it for myself. I don't have the time nor the $$ to do so. I'm not interested in buying anything from you...at all. For the $$ I can build myself something better...it may not get as loud as you make your TCAB boxes, but it'll sure as hell be cheaper. Singlesupsetup does have a point and you missed it as well. There are 100's of installers that I'm sure play around with subs, amps, etc. that they work on all day, and prob do it for a living. However, you in the whole world somehow figured out the "secrets" to making a box so loud that it's mindblowing to the rest of the world, and this forum, just doesn't make any sense. Of course...why on earth wouldn't you reveal what you discovered. It's like Pop keeping secrets away from Snap, and Crackle, . That pic isn't ugly at all...morely, it looks better than the pic at the beginning of this thread....wires everywhere, ports sticking out, etc. I think you missed my point again...cuz your main concern to all this is LOUD. I said my install will look better...than some cheesy birchwood box with a buncha 4" aerports sticking out the sides thrown in the back of a hatchback.

Bro, one last time... the guy wanted the loudest box period, PERIOD. He didn't care what it looked like. If he wanted to sacrifice a db or 2, carpet and internal ports is an option...

I didn't do the install, nor am I an "installer". Have I been an installer? Yes... that was my job for a few months earlier this year, audio dept manager @ a local shop. I quit that job to do TCAB full time.

Everyone does the same thing... I try new stuff. Thats what makes my boxes better, and thats how I won @ finals this year. NOBODY was using the box design I had.

Ask yourself, how many boxes have you seen in trunks that are designed like the one here? Would that not indicate a little extra effort in the design?

I feel you have to do things differently to get ahead... thats my philosophy.

You can build your own box, but it won't be as good... how does that take away from the value of my boxes? I don't care if you can build your own box, and at this point, I don't want to make you a box, you'd have to pay me extra because of the headache you've been on here.

how would you prefer it seamed? I've always preferred a seam like the pic over a corner seam.

Flush mounted subs isn't really something that has been requested. Its also something I don't want to get into... the flush has to be tight around the sub, any give and it doesnt look right. I can make it tight for a sub I have on hand here, but I wouldn't trust shipping a box that I didn't know without a shadow of a doubt fit the sub properly.

Tight corners... ? The carpet wraps around the corner as tight as its gonna get... I'm not sure what more you want.

Awww...now I've givin you a headache. Of all the responses on here it was I that fed the fire. Well, that's too bad. I don't plan on buying anything from you....even the TCAB box. Like I said, I'd rather make my own. And like I said before, it may not be as loud as the TCAB, but it'll be cheaper. You said no one used the box design you had at finals....well no shit. Something that REALLY surprises me is how little fuss about the colossus putting out only 1541 watts there was. Big fuss about how the wood I use "sucks"... even though it obviously performs... but the colossus only doing 1550 watts, nobody cares about.
