What you just posted here does not apply to the subwoofer. It applies to the amplier. Each voice coil can handle 700 watts RMS, so 1400 watts between both coils.Ok so a subs power doesn't change no matter how its wired? So it will have 1400 watts rms if its wired to a 1 ohm load, 1400 watts at a 2 ohm load and 1400 @ 4 ohms?
If you wire it to 1ohm, you should get an amp that can play 1400 watts @1ohm. That same amp will put out around 350 watts if you wire that sub at 4ohms.
