hey man. i feel for ya. my dads van was broken into once and they ****ed up the driver side door just like that and then stole a cd binder full of retail CD's.

it was back in the day when cd's were like $20\each. like a grand worth of music.

There is a thing going around my old town where punks will go around checking for unlocked doors on cars, and steal stuff.

They did it a few years back. It was the first night my dad didn't lock his doors. They got in, stole some change, pocket knife, and something else. I know the two clowns that did it. They were too stupid to pop the trunk release in the glove box to have access to a few high end DMMS, lots of tools, electronics parts. You know, stuff to actually afford their drug habits.

Luckily one has killed himself and the other is in juvi probably heading to prison after. Both were huge troublemakers, druggies, etc.

You might be a big billy badass. I am a rational person. If they have a bats, guns, knives, or whatever I am in my boxers. I don't think swinging is gonna do you much good.

I have seen many of times where people defending themselves get hurt worse than if they let the people take it. I park in the garage though.

I dunno about alarms...
For a while in our neighborhood we had this scam where someone would set of the alarm and when the person opened the door they would crack them in the head with a baseball bat and rob the house.

I don't have an alarm because if I catch someone, what am I gonna do besides end up getting my *** kicked, as well as my stuff stolen.

As much as I value my stuff, I am not gonna shoot someone over a couple grand worth of equipment.

Well, I do agree with you somewhat. But like someone else said, warning shots. But also think about it this way, you are shooting someone over your equipment, you are shooting because someone is trying knock your head off with a bat, possibly killing you.

I forget where I saw it, but someone said they wouldn't miss a 400 dollar HU enough to let a crook destory their dash trying to get it out.

I'm sure anyone would be pissed to get their stuff stolen. If you hear some doucher smashing in your window at 4 in the morning, chances are he isn't very level headed, and is dangerous, armed or not. Drugged up people/addicts are scary individuals. Alarm to scare them+theft insurance ftw. Acting like Billy Badass won't do a whole lot of good if you swing at one, and his buddy comes at you with a knife.

And if they're not pieces of ****, and are pro's, swinging on them will put you in a worse situation, assuming they're unarmed. The law is fair like that.

But... if u play it right u might be able to get a complete paint job w/out that wood grain sticker out of this, if thats something you would be intersted in.
