I wasn't expecting anyone to try and steal my car before I actually put in REAL a stereo. They oddly enough didn't even touch the 9835, which was the only thing in the car.

I came out early in the moring after being told my flashers were on. These guys couldn't even steal a 90's GM car. Not that I'm complaining.

I have full coverage, made sure of that on this car, which I'm happy about, although who knows what the deductable is. I think I'm going to get a quote from the local GM dealer, I'm not sure who would take care of this exactly... body shop?

I can't even turn the car on which is what really ticks me off.... the key will not turn. I need to get a hold of a new door if that lock isn't easily fixed. Seems like it would be pretty hard.

I had some ASP handcuffs that were in the glove compartment, there were on the seat. the other set that had the key with them were still in the glove box.

It's odd that they didn't take ANYTHING. I'm glad I'd cleaned my car out recently, made it real easy to know nothing important was taken.

those columns are a pain to wok on too, the ignition switch went out on my caprice and it took forever to get it right, cuz everything in there has to be perfect. Mine was doing th opposite of yours though, it would only turn the car off when i clicked it into accesory mode 2 times haha

Body shop for that door, dealership for the column... but if you're going to pay the insurance deductible, might as well have the dealer's body shop take care of that door too.

I dunno about alarms...

For a while in our neighborhood we had this scam where someone would set of the alarm and when the person opened the door they would crack them in the head with a baseball bat and rob the house.

I don't have an alarm because if I catch someone, what am I gonna do besides end up getting my *** kicked, as well as my stuff stolen.

As much as I value my stuff, I am not gonna shoot someone over a couple grand worth of equipment.

The main reason I put an alarm on my truck (hell, I have shaved handles) is because old ladies in the plaza where I work open the doors on my truck. Never any damage, but I go outside right away and make sure they didn't mess up my doors. I don't know what I'd do if they ever put a dent on my truck though.

I'm with Flip... I would probably call the police if I looked outside and saw someone at my truck. Better outcome then me running outside with a bat.

very true. but when a firearm is cheaper than full coverage....id take a couple shots at em, or around em.

I know what you mean, my first car was broken into, they stole my JVC first version El Kamelion (how ever it was spelled). It was a Fiero, so they had to bend the shifter back to get it. I found out who did that, but by then they were already in jail. Sold my $300 H/U for $40 to get crack with.

Hopefully this'll get taken care of fairly quick. But knowing my luck... doubt it.
