This is a little place up in Platte City, right off of I-29 at 92 highway. It's kinda hard to find though.

I went here to buy my first pair of subs from an actual car audio shop. Well, the truth is, I just wanted to check the place and prices out, but they are decent salespeople there.

A little about the place: Not a huge selection, but decent. Stuff ranging from mid to high end. Brands like Lightning Audio and Rockford Fosgate to Eclipse and RE. The prices aren't bad; I bought two Punch P2's for $190. But an 18" RE XXX runs $2400. So i'm not sure how that compares to anything or anywhere else. They were pretty friendly and tried to help me out, give me some ideas and what not. I bought the subs and they put them in the box i already had and hooked it all back up for no extra charge, which was nice. They also gave me a card and send me stuff in the mail when they have sales, new items, etc.

All in all, a pretty nice place with pretty nice people. I would suggest at least checking it out.

Well, I disagree completely. You could not pay me to go to this shop. I paid them to have an install done on my truck and they did a horrible job. I provided wiring for everything. They claimed they used it but taped into factory speaker wiring and stuff like that. Absolute crap. I called and sent them an email about it and got no response.

Also, they push their brands and think everything else is crap. That, in itself. is not rare, but they were jackasses about it.

I vote no! I would go to Sante Fe Auto Sound, Wulf Electronics in Grain Valley, or basically any other shop not called NW Audio.

I didn't have them install anything for me, so I didn't have to experience that. Although they did push RF like it's the only brand there is. I've never heard of Sante Fe Auto Sound. Where is that?

That's a bit of a drive i suppose. I'm in Liberty Missouri, up in the northland. So pretty much anywhere is a bit of a drive i guess. I will have to give them a shot next time i want to get something done or buy something. Thanks.

I have had nothing but good installs from NW Audio. They carry alot of good brands. I have had a couple of probs with my installs but they were always able to fix it and take care of me. Talk to Jeff up there he is the man if you have any problems. There is a huge difference between XXX RE 18 and a P2 Rockford. The RE XXX holds 10,000 watts max and the P2 only holds 750 watts. The RE is for more competitions. Wildnate I would give them a call and talk to Jeff he will make things right for you. He has for me.
