No sound from speakers with el kameleon

I just installed a new el kameleon and I can get sound from speakers hooked up through the pre-outs to an amp, but the regular hookups wont work does anyone have an idea?

I'm not sure about this one, but can you turn off the internal amp of the Kameleon? Don't quote me on it though. I don't deal with them all too frequently.

Sounds like something is meesed up with the internal amp. You said it is new. Can you take it back ? I don't believe you can turn the internal amp off in those headunits. How were you getting sound out of the rca outputs ?

Did you install it? Not that you dont know what you are doing, but I sell that piece of ****, and my distributor tells me that if you push in the corners on the front during installation can mess up the radio. We had one problem and now watch the corners during installation and have had no problems.

Yea i had the same problem with a Blapunkt cd player it one day just the speakers stop working only my subs were and then my rca went out too.I still dont know what happened maybe the amp in them blew just take it back if you find out what happened tell me.

Hey guess what you pobably have a speaker with a blown voice coil or a speaker wire grounded in the system. You can test this by using a ohm meter.

I have seen an El Kameleon deck being put in Iand I noticed that the colors on the wiring harnesses have 3 or four wires of the same color scheme, but very faintly different (like a fire engine red and a red brick red) I needed to get a REAL close look to differentiate the wires. Also, make sure that the audio properties aren't set to just the pre-outs. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

I use this head. its the kd lx-10. I bought it cause is looked cool and the specs seemed good. It is a piece of crap get rid of it. Buy a nice pioneer, or alpine. The mechanics on this thing ****. It will barely eject the cd now. But I do like bbe they were the first to have this, now alpine and pioneer offer it.

Speedy, Is Right, Somwhere in your system, you have a blown voice coil, were the +, and -, Leads may be touching, this causes the deck to short out everything but the subs, which are running off audio RCA preouts. I sell Alot of Those Shity Decks, People Buy Them because of the way they look, pretty stupid if you ask me. Besides allllllll the tiny mechanical pieces in a Kam. are made of (PLASTIC)!!!!!!!!!,,,,, Thats Just bound to **** out on you Do to the Heat or extreem weather conditions!
