No sound coming from sub

I've got a memphis 1000d, wired @ 1ohm to a 15" magnum.. and have absolutely no sound coming from the sub. The power light on the amp is on, yet no sound. The only sound I can get is when I turn the subsonic filter switch on/off, just a brief pop.. or something. I've spent 6 hours hooking this up today, and I've gotten no where. What could be my problem(s)? Please if you have any suggestions/advice.. type it, and hit submit asap.. as I'm growing more and more frustrated with this situation.

Also.. the SUB setting on my head unit is turned on, and level +15.

well, are you sure that you have the wires in the right places on the amp?
