Newbie Q: how to install amp

are there any links out there for write-ups on how to install an amp?

if it matters, i have a '97 Nissan Maxima GXE WITH the trunk access hole.

I plan on getting a Profile CL440 and it doesn't come with any hardware or wires....what extras do i need. is speaker wire necessary.

Also has anyone used the Fosgate Wiring kits? they look very durable...but is it worth the money?

some wiring kits are www.knukonceptz.com and walmart ones, both are cheap and good

get an amp kit and hook everything up, its that simple

for positive, batt to inline fuse to distributor block to amp.

for negative, amp to car chassis (scrape paint off on ground point)

Yes, you need speaker wires, to run to your speakers.

wiring kits will help you on your way quickly I'm sure, but I wouldn't mind any brand. wire is wire to me, and you won't be seeing it anytime soon anyhow.
