newbie need amp help

I am new to car audio, I am looking at getting an Eclipse sw9122 (12" titanium sub). My question is I have heard it is better to stick with the same brand of componets. I have looked and read several forumns and reviews on several amps, but none matched with this sub. I am looking for a "ground pounder" you can feel coming instead of hearing. I am going with just a single 12" firing into the back seat, sealed , so I don't get any cancellation. Anyway, I am willing to pay whatever to get the right sound. update: I just read the 1000watt + thread, I went and checked out the soundstream tarantula and found some reviews, is this an adequate amp?
