If I had to guess, to fill what you said you needed, you could do it for less than $500, even with an amp added in and maybe other extras.

Check it out!

I have a 83' 240 DL way to go Ive never heard of anyone else with a system in a old volvo.

I have an 84' volvo 240 DL with an alpine deck, JL 4", an alpine type r 12" subwoofer, a monster capacitor, alpine amp, and an alpine XM tuner. I love it. I put cap, amp and tuner under the compartment of the cargo hold. perfect place for it. The sub makes the car shake. I was wondering if there was a place i can put a set of 6x9s. i don't like the front area. the 4"s are round in the front and do mess with the handle for the window a little bit but not much.
