New truck, Need system help

Just got a 04 Silverado. Came standard with boss speakers. Got about $350-$700 to work with depending on help. Willing to spend $450 max on amp/sub. $700 with head unit. Not looking for anything pretty. Just something that sounds good. I don't know about the head unit in the new trucks. Don't know if changing it will affect computer system. But any recommendations would be great.

Pioneer or alpine headunit. maybe pioneer-7600. Bose speakers arent too bad heard them in Nissan Maxima 04. If youve got Ext cab. Silverado you could get a nice 2 cubic foot box, and one 12" Depending on what brand ud like. I recommend RE.
