Well I finally had all my stuff installed. JL comps powered by jbl 150x2 amp, Pioneer deh-p860mp headunit, image dynamics idq12d4v2 sub powered by a mtx 420 watt amp.
There are so many settings on the headunit I do not know where to start. When I turn the volume control up to about level 3(out of probably 20) the sub overpowers the speakers to a real annoying level. This is when I have the eq on flat or any other setting. I then turn the subwoofer to off and the front component speakers give out no bass whatsoever. Its all highs and very little if any midrange. The previous speakers were 7 year old bose audio 6 1/2 and they had very nice midrange bass. What do I need to do so that the bass does not overpower? I want it to mix in well with everything else. Thanks!
