New box for Eclipse Titanium, going deaf...

I finally threw in my new box for my Eclipse Titanium 12, and tried it out after a few days of work, and I think I'm going to be deaf... It's half MDF with a fiberglass compartment molded into the spare tire well, about 2 cu. ft. ported, tuned to 33hz (2 3x18" ports). The speaker is facing up and the ports face the rear. Powered by a Kicker KX 600.1 (600wrms @ 2 ohms). This was my first experiment with fiberglass.

Compared to the previous enclosure (~1.5 cu. ft. sealed), it's definitely quite a lot louder, but it sounds a little boomy, and doesn't seem to keep up with faster beats, it doesn't blend in with my other speakers nearly as well... I may end up plugging the ports to go back to sealed, as I really don't need this loud of bass. I was thinking it would be cool be able to pull the plugs and go back and forth, but I think that any plugs I would put in the ports would just be blown out by the sub... Or maybe I should go for a little more volume to tune a little lower. I've got a little space left

Anyways, heres a picture of the box in the car, there is a rear floor that covers everything but the sub, nothing is mounted down yet, and my wiring is everywhere, but what do you think?
