New and need advice

Well, I am new to this site, and don't know anything about car audio, or any sort of audio for that matter. I have just got my first car, and I am looking for a new stereo that I can play my cd's on. It sux not having a cd player and like $500 in cd's. I am looking for anything in the $200 range. Some models that I have looked at are: ALpine cda-5755 for $299, Clarion dxz-715 for $229, Kenwood kdc-6719, Panasonic cq-df401 for $199, Panasonic cq-dfx501u for $299, and Alpine cdm-7861 for $279. Are these good choices? Any tips on speekers? I thought 2 5x7's would be nice for the back.

those are all quality head units, especially the alpine ones, but for the price range ur in, i'd go for the pioneer deh-p7400. if u wanna save a little dough, go for the deh-p6400, not much of a differnce in the two units, both are good quality. but if ur set on the ones ur looking at, those would work fine as well.

Check out the Clarions or Alpines on line at http://www.thezeb.com , or http://www.sounddomain.com - you should be able to find a good deck there for less $$$ than you listed. SMH's idea for the Pioneer would not be a bad choice either.
