needs some opinions here

i was really feelin the RE HC 12 but then i started talkin to a friends and he told me about the Orion HCCA 12. and how it would beat out the HC, me not have owned either is kinda wondering which would be a better choice?

so i was hoping to get some opinions on both.

both are very good subs, and they are purpose built in their nature, the HC is built to be a loud SQ sub, the HCCA is built to be an SPL sub, but are you reffereing to the H2? because that has a different motor and has more SQ dialed in than the original HCCA

HC would be better for you simply b/c of the SQ. jemorgan85 has one NIB if you're interested

When you say not SPL # loud, does that mean that they get loud to the ear but not the mic? I've heard that there is a big difference, some subs soudn loud to the ear, not the mic, then others sound loud to the mic, but not the ear.

Either way, the SPL # of an HC, are they really poor? I wanted to hit some alright #'s with my 2 15 HC's in a wall //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Thought I might be able to to alread compaired to the kids that make prefab systems in my area

meaning they are awsome daily driver subs, but they are not designed to hit massive SPL figures on the meter, bigbassman can explain it better if your confused, meaning it was not meant to do SPL comps, but it just happens to be able to get loud and sound great doing it
