Hey everyone! I'm new here and thanks for having me! So, I have an 02 Ram 1500 quad cab and I need more bass! I'm not looking for trunk and mirror rattling bass, just a descent listening experience. With that being said, I have an aftermarket stereo with the typical 50W per channel and the aftermarket speakers below. I KNOW these speakers need more juice in order to get them to "sing" but my question is, will a 600W amp bring out their low end or will I need a bigger amp AND a small sub. Thx guys. Looking forward to your feedback!

Front speakers: Infinity reference ref9630cx 6x9 component speaker set 125W RMS 3ohms. https://www.walmart.com/ip/534012359

Rear speakers : BOSS Audio Systems CH6530 Car Speakers. 150W RMS 4ohms.

You can try a 600.4 on those speakers and see if that satisfies you. With the aftermarket amplifier, you'll have better control over what frequencies you send the speakers, so you might be able to get some little more out of them. Though anything below 50ish hz is going to be really taxing on any high end midrange driver. Those Boss speakers, I'd be surprised if they can handle 100 hz. But I digress.
If that isn't enough, which it usually isn't, a single 200 watt 8" probably will be enough for you to nicely blend with your speakers. Something like that should easily fit under your backseat or behind your seat. They don't take up much room.
Thing is, when dealing with sound quality and what sounds good, it's all subjective. What sounds good to me, might not sound good to you. So if you really want to figure out what's best for you and your listening, you might have to try a couple different things. It all depends how in depth you want to get and how important good sounding music is to you

If you want more bass, certainly and external amplifier to run all your speakers is a good improvement but also don't miss applying sound deadening to your doors as well and if possible, see if you can install larger speakers instead of the stock size. 4 8 inch midwoofers will provide much better mid/higher low bass then the stock sized speakers.

Given your current situation, see if you can manage 100rms x 4 digital amp to run your speakers, as you will have better head room then a amp rated at 50rms x 4. if still not satisfied, then it will be time you get some custom fibreglass doors to accommodate larger drivers, / subwoofers in your ride. ;)

oh, please stay clear of the slim underseat subwoofers as they will not provide you with 'mirror shaking' bass. An enclosure that size will not generate anything under 150hz.

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...

Honestly, beyond what you need. It will do the trick for sure, but it is excessive. Not a bad thing, just more than you will ever need. No need...
