Nothing wrong with a little head room on any amplifier to run at lower gain settings to keep an amplifier from running like a Race horse on the daily and running cooler and lasting much longer with the proper supply for the demand and installed correctly for sure. Heat kills just about everything. Ive ran 1200 rms subs on a 2k of theyre own with settings properly conducted and the sub was happy as well as the amplifiers with the proper supply for the demand and air circulation. It really puts a splinter in my spine when an individual tries to place 2-500 rms more than the RMS value on and sub. Especially a 75 rms speaker and placing 100+ rms on a speaker. I take it that these people have Deep pockets or dont mind spending the Coin at all. LOL. I just dont get it sometimes. best to save and spend the funds on the proper gear IMHO. Though...Each to there own of course. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🤓" title="🤓" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/7.0/png/unicode/64/1f913.png" /> <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🍿" title="🍿" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/7.0/png/unicode/64/1f37f.png" /><img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🍿" title="🍿" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/7.0/png/unicode/64/1f37f.png" /><img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🍿" title="🍿" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/7.0/png/unicode/64/1f37f.png" /><img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🍿" title="🍿" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/7.0/png/unicode/64/1f37f.png" /></p></blockquote><p></p>
[QUOTE="audiobaun, post: 8832245, member: 634282"] You have a lot of great points stated here. I like it.. Nothing wrong with a little head room on any amplifier to run at lower gain settings to keep an amplifier from running like a Race horse on the daily and running cooler and lasting much longer with the proper supply for the demand and installed correctly for sure. Heat kills just about everything.
