I have 2 12-inch Sony Xplod Subs (1200 watts max peak) and I need a new amp to push it. I only have 200 to spend on an amp... so do you have any suggestions?
Im thinking about the Kenwood KAC7201 amp.. it seems to get nothing but great reviews and its only 179.99 at Circuit CIty. The specs are these:
Warranty:Months
Labor/Parts 12/12
# of Channels 2
Power (Watts RMS into 4 ohms x Channels) 150 x 2
Power (Watts RMS into 2 ohms x Channels) 230 x 1
Bridged power x Channels (4 Ohms) 460 x 1
Peak power x Channels (Watts) 800 x 2
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (dB) Unavailable
Speaker-Level Inputs Yes
Pre-Amp Level Outputs No
Distortion (THD%) at Rated Power .08%
Gold Plated Terminals Yes
Crossover Range (Hz) Variable 20Hz-20kHz
Adjustable Bass Boost Yes
Built-in Crossover Type High and Low Pass
Fuse Rating (Amps) 30 x 2
Dimensions (HxWxD) Unavailable
So do ya'll think it would be a good choice? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
