Need advice on this ASAP

Id run the amp as it is for now on the sub you have until you save some funds and get a pair of tens and get another sub amplifier. Id look at a CT Sounds CT 80.4 for your speakers . Take a look at a pair of American Bass TNT 10" woofers would be nice on the CT Sounds CT 1500.1. or take a look at the D4 Sounds amp combo package with a single Aero-ported enclosure with a S. Qubed HDS3.2 DVC 2 ohm 12 when they come back in stock

I would look for a component set for front stage later on too like maybe like Polk MM 1 6.5 set. Be a nice setup

Thats me. You might be able to find a computer repair shop to repair that amp for about $40 bucks maybe??Labor and parts

LOL ok..

Way back in the day we ran HCCA 225's all day long on much smaller alternators (65 amp) with zero issues..

I've been running 1600 rms @ 1 ohm in my 1994 Silverado with the Stock alternator still in service (90 amp)

The ohm load is not the issue here.. the current load a 400 watt amp @ 1 ohm is not gonna destroy alts and batteries just because it's wire to 1 ohm..

Who knows maybe you are right and I've just been lucky since the 90's
Not saying it's not possible but would I recommend it to someone with apparently no experience and on stock wiring/power? Hell no.

Meh. Been there done that.. The examples of the HCCA amps above is when I was a teenager with no experience and on stock wiring/power.. Never seen a issue before at the power levels the OP is wanting to run.

So by your logic.. he can't run a amp that could possibly pull 80 amps at 1 ohm..
But he can run a amp that pulls 80 amps at 2 or 4 ohms?

Could you explain why this is?

You're funny lol.. What did you contribute? You can't even back up what you claim..

One more question for you, why come back and bump this thread 2 weeks after it fell off? You thought maybe you could sneak the last word in there and look like you know something? I don't get it..

I could go on and insult you and what not cause lets face it.. you would make it very easy
but it's cool. I'm sure you embarrassed enough as it is..

Try removing all the signal from the amp, turn the gains up and down, see it is present. If it is, then the amp is the issue,if not, then it is...
