need advice on some good electronics engineering schools...

thanks man, and i agree. i dont think i would be happy with what i would get out of it. its just not based towards what i want.

you go there? havent checked the site yet but will soon. that is pretty pricy but itt is costing me 40k for 2 years and i dont want to get shit education for that kind of money
Yeah this coming semester will be my second year. Ive been to Michigan State, a Community College over one summer(Oakland CC), to Kettering University, and now Ive stayed at Lawrence Technological University.

Out of all the schools Ive been to in Michigan Lawrence is definately the best for me, its not some party school and as much fun as MSU, but theres nice people and the education you get is worth it.

how long are you going there?
can you explain a little more on why?
I got kind of screwed over on my transfer credits, transferred in with ~42 credits and they only accepted 7 of them. So Im gonna have to put in just over 3 more years to get my credits and earn my degree.

Lawrence also offeres a co-op program. Just like Kettering University which I went to before.

Basically, you can start working and going to school your junior year. They have co-op advisers that help you with a resume and job fairs to find employers. All the big companies come out and hire students to do the co-op. Pretty much any major company you can think of that has to do with some sort of engineering.

I did the co-op at Kettering a few years ago and I was making like ~13$ an hour, salary paid, and they paid for my housing. Kind of balances out with the expensive tuition.

They have an awesome program man, definately check them out.

do you want a trade school or 4 year school? the school i go to has a good engineering progam, i dont do electronics i just do mechanical but the instructors are mainly good

university of hartford is where i go

ALL engineering universities have co-op programs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif i'm typing this from my co-op desk :p
Yeah but they arent nearly at the level of Technical Universities......at schools like MSU they are always over looked. At Lawrence they pride themselves on their co-op program.

do you know that all of your credit do not transfer from itt
as stated earlier, i would rather have a great qulity education and pay more, then to have a shit education and not realize it. i havent looked into them transferring but if they dont its not the biggest deal in the world. but can you explain why they dont

this sounds nice, im going to look more into it. how much is this school going to cost you total?

Hey if your serious about an engineering degree come on over to Lawrence Tech. Its right in Southfield and is one of the top engineering schools in our state.
Its costly though at $720 a credit hour. Im not sure on the specifics of the EE degree though as Im going for Mechanical, but check out their website

www.ltu.edu

Its an awesome school (for academics), small classes, good staff, nice people. Students from all over, but unfortunately theres a lot from Saudi.

Check it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
god dammit they're putting bombs in our amps... or they are just learning how to make their advanced triggering devices for IED's.....

purdue or rose-hulman
my cousin got his engineering degree from Purdue. Not sure what kind tho... but he makes good cash.

PS: schools that advertise heavily on TV ****....just a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I'm goin to Gonzaga University. Top 20 in the country for engineering for colleges without a doctorate in it.

That being said, I remember Purdue being a shit huge school. They sent me some info, and i was interested but I heard it was expensive (out of state) and huge.

I honestly can only tell you that they are not an accredated school

me and my brother both went to tech schools him to itt and me to a school called Vatterot in St. Louis Mo. He has tried to go on to get his 4year deg and cant get anyone to take his credits I am going to school part time In the fall

Total probably about $80,000~$92,000. Ive already taken out >$30,000 in student loans so far for the schools Ive went to, that got me my 7 credits that LTU took, so I have $80,000 on top of that I will have to pay back after I get my degree, not even counting the interested that will build up on all that money by that time with a 9% interest rate //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
