Need a new amp or subs... You decide!

First off I have to say props to Kenwood. I have a KAC-9152D amp and its rated for 900 watts @ 2 ohms. I just measured the output with a 50 Hz tone with my gain properly set with my oscilloscope and I got a constant reading of 1152 wrms. WOW. I would have thought that the amp was underrated rather than overrated by 250 watts! And that reading was unclipped.

So the point of this post is that Im unhappy with my subs. I also want more SPL. I have two of these.

They ****. I can hear the dustcaps flapping when the trunk is open but when im in the car they sound decent. I already built a box for a single S15L7 and its ready, but Im not sure if I should get a bigger amp AND sub or just get the S15L7. Thoughts on the sub? I also have only 8 guage wire and its barely big enough (according to my calcs) for my amp. So if I got a new amp I guess I would upgrade the wiring too. So what should be my first course of action?

1152 wrms, or watts?
I dont know what youre asking. wrms is the average continuous wattage...

Anyways,

I know its underrated. I measured 1343 watts RMS today @ 2 ohms with a 50 Hz 0dB tone. NOT peak , continuous. Im very impressed. Peak was somewhere in the 2000's but I forget.

And that RMS power was UNCLIPPED!

After playing at that power for 15 seconds with amp went into protection and then came back on in about 8 seconds. Is that bad for the amp?

Great power for such a low priced amp though.

rms haha ya right dude i got 8152d and it blows id guess 300rms for mine 650ish urs
But do you have an oscilloscope and did you measure it?I have a Velleman HPS10 and i Set it to watts RMS AC only and set it to 2 ohms and it said 1343 watts rms. The o-scope doesnt lie. I testedmy friends 400 watt amp and it said 412 wrms so I know im probaly doing it right.
