Hey

I have a 1972 ford f100 regular cab with the gas tank behind the seat, and i dont find it logical to move it. i want bass, something low and hard hitting, on a tight budget. I have a Blaupunkt RPD 555 Deck that puts out 220 watts and it has one pre-out. I want to put the subs in the back window but im not sure if it would work out. please give me any tips because im only 15 and dont know a lot about this stuff.

Thanks

Well there is alot more to a car stero system than just the subs. And puting them in the back window is not really a viable location. Why may i ask is the gas tank behind the seat??? Dont sound too safe.and how your deck puts out 220 watts is beyond me. If you have 1 preamp you will use that for your Amplifier. But you have a LONG way to go, and alot of time before worrying about serious bass.

Hey Thanks for the reply.

I have allready installed the stereo with 2 6.5" speakers and a bass tube in the front seat with me. About the tank, i have no idea why it is there but it is.my deck really does put ou 220W (55x4). I will use only one amp, but will it pay off to get a 2ohm stable, bridgable or mono amp and wire my 4ohm subs in parralell, or would it be best just to use 2 separate channels for my subs? So far as i can see the only way to put the subs in are the back window by removing it and building a custom box for em.well, any replies will be very helpful. (P.S what kind of subs would be best for my application?)

at 15 years or age.......

i recommend a 4 channel amp about 75 or 85 W Rms X4

a MTX thunder 4500 12" or 15"

and 6x9's and tweets for mids and highs.

sounds good?????
