My new SYSTEM

Hey guys.

I am was looking at subs and i just had a few questions before i go and order some stuff i chose by the 2 or 3 reviews that were on the website.

I wanted to get two of these http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ABNAW1205Q

each powered by there own one these http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ABNAW1205Q

it does not say it in the descripption but they are stable at 1 ohm by 1200 watts

First of all is of course do theses ****? I have never heard either of them so i figured i would get some opions. I am not married so if they are poor qualities please warn me.

Second i drive a 2001 mercury sable. Will my system be able to handle two of these amplifiers? What equipment should i plan on buying to get these to work. I was figuring a 4 guage power wire each as well as a battery int he trunk and a distubution block might do it. I have done a couple of amps and plenty of speakers but never installed amps or woofers before so i am not that knollegable.

Thanks for any advice or opinions.

you didnt put the link to the amp but what are you looking for, spl or sq, if your going to spend 350 on those subs then go to ebay and buy some L7's or buy some RE SX's they will be cheaper and get louder and sound better doing it

I like Audiobahn amps. The subs could be better, a little too much focus on the glitz and not the internals imo.

If you stick around this board long enough, you'll most likely be told to get something Re, eD, or SI as far as subs are concerned. Not to say they don't make excellent products, but there is a world of quality stuff out there, ready to be bought. If you're looking for a burpy sub like your Audiobahn there, then your selection becomes even more open. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hehe yeah i was tryign to look on this board to see what people are using but you guys tend to phrase all your subs in either two or three letter names.

Re, eD, or SI? what are those? hehe well thanks for sterring me clear i will have to listen to some audiobahn woofers before i o right ahead and buy em.

But the main reason i posted was to ask if you think my system could handle that type of wattage whatever woofer it is i might use. should 2000 watts at 1 ohm be a good ammount of power to aim for or would that be to much for my system. And if i can what would i have to buy in a ddition to woofers amps and box?

well where would you buy this stuff? i tried doing a websearch for resident engineering XXX and came up with a whole lot of forum topics about it from random places but no store selling it or even prices listed.

You can order RE products from RE directly, it is reccomended you call them to though, or from Visionary Audio (thats where i ordered mine).
