I spoke with some people at my local car audio store, and here's what i'm planning on doing to my 1980 cadillac fleetwood brougham.
I'm going to leave my two front 4x6s open, nothing there, because they just face right up at the window anyway. the back 6x9s i'm going to be replacing with Memphis "M" class 6.5" components, and i'm going to be installing two Memphis "M" class 6.5" component speakers in the front left and front right doors. the tweeters will be wired to the inside corner of the car (one tweeter in each corner). These four speakers will be pushed with my Memphis 16-ST3004 amp. this leaves room for expansion, should i decide in the future to add two speakers in the back doors, etc.
also that means the sound will be coming AT ME, as opposed as going toward the windshields :-/
What do you think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
